Dear Friend,
|
Warm Christmas greetings from Moscow! The Christmas and New Year time is good occasion to analyze the past year and make plans for the future. I want to praise the Lord for all of His abundant and rich blessings! He is very good to our church, to me and my family. In the past year the Lord worked on our spiritual growth and maturity. The main emphasis was on the evangelism and leadership training. Today our church is much more goal-centered and eager to reveal living Christ in our dark world than a year before. |
|
We believe that revival is coming to our land
that did not ever before experience the powerful visitation of the Holy Spirit.
There were many prophesies that Russia has to play a strategic role in God’s
end times. We believe those prophesies. The devil managed to do many terrible
things in Russia but we know that our Resurrected Lord is more than able to
perform greater things here for the glory of God!
This year God’s mercy enabled me to receive a
Master of Theology degree from Moscow Seminary of Evangelical Christians. Next
year a want to continue my education.
My master’s thesis was on the Church Growth. I
had a privilege to teach a Church Growth seminar in the Southern part of Russia
and next year I am planning to do more seminars on that very important subject.
In fact, I feel like I need to write a small book on Church Growth in
contemporary Russian settings.
Our cooperation with the Center for drugs
rehabilitation continues to grow. I
minister there almost every week and we support this ministry financially.
Currently there are about 20 young people who are going through the
program. Several more graduates
that accomplished the program committed their lives to the serious ministry and
prepare themselves for the future. Within
two past years we have already celebrated five weddings between former
drug-addicts who were near death not too long ago.
Now, by the power of the Holy Spirit, they are not only free but give
life to others (four young families have babies already!).
Next year we plan to conduct a large anti-drugs
action in our city Khimky. To do
that we will need to obtain a permission from our local government that
unfortunately is not too friendly, I would even say unfriendly, considering all
non-Orthodox as a cult. Nevertheless,
if God is for us, who is against
us?
Our missionary
to Uzbekistan brother Igor went there for his fifth term. It is a difficult
field but Igor is glad that he may
minister to the people in Muslim nation.
I would invite
you to continue your prayer support. Our main need is preparation for the
Revival (that’s why our church is called that way). We also pray for our
authorities that they would lead our nation to democracy and not hinder the work
of the Gospel. “Ask you of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain…”
(Zec 10:1, also Mat. 24:14,
Hab. 2:14, Hosea 6:3, Joel 2:23-32, James 5:7-8).
If you feel that
God encourages you, you can make offerings through
