                                                                       Our testimonies:

My name is Olga. I am 21. I was a drug-addict for about five years. Everything began as a amusement on the disco party but then it soon took me to heroin injections. I tried several medical institutions with no effect. Finally my parents kicked me out of the home and I had no other way but to went to the addiction clinic. This was God's plan for me because there I met Christians who introduced to me Jesus and  the Rehab Center.

I couldn't sleep but to my surprise on the third day in the Rehab Center I slept like a baby. Even as a girl I never felt such love warmth and sincere concern for me as in the center.

My prayer is to be with Christ and His church always. I don't want to go back where I used to be. My desire is to help as many people as possible to find the way to Salvation and Life.

My name is Lubasha. I am 20 years old. One way or another I tried to communicate with God during my life as my father was an alcoholic. In my childhood I did not know how to pray to God and I just put on candles to different Saints in the Orthodox Church and begged God to help us (there are three girls, mom and dad in my family). I asked God to make my father not to drink. However, nothing changed. You can imagine how it is to live with an alcoholic. There were frequent fights, daily quarrels and bawls. There was a lack of love, understanding, forgiveness, and respect in our family. I missed parents’ love, tried to defend myself and when I was 16 years old I began to seek for somebody’s sympathy in the world. Of course in our selfish and cruel world I did not find any compassion or love that I was looking for. Till the time I was 19 I changed several jobs, than in the upshot I became unemployed and I had debt. I did not know what to do, where I could find money and then I was acquainted with one Christian (now I know that God appointed it). That Christian told me about Christ, about God’s love towards me and helped me with money. He gave the money I needed without demanding anything in return. I was very much surprised. I was impressed by such action and I came to the Evangelical church that man has invited me and  received Jesus into my heart. From that time my life really changed. God blessed me so much! Two months after my repentance God gave me a job on my specialty. God blessed my family. After some time my mom and younger sister repented, and 4 months later my father accepted the Lord and now he is not drinking! God is making His great job in us; the situation in our family has changed. Now we are more attentive to each other, we forgive each other, we are glad, we listen to each other and take care of each other. Of course, there are sometimes misunderstanding, problems, disappointments in our family and it is not very easy to overcome some difficulties but we are not the same as we were before. God continues to change me, to teach me how to love, to forgive, how to sacrifice. I am so grateful to my God, my Savior!  I became a Christian 15 months ago and now I just started to study in the Bible School. I was praying to my God, that He would give me a new job with a free schedule and He gave it! Praise the Lord for everything!

Several years ago an evangelist from our church brother Igor visited Uzbekistan for his first mission trip. He spent 2 months there working with the underground church in Numangan city. A year later in 1999 God opened a way for him to become a full-time missionary in Uzbekistan.

The Evangelical church in Uzbekistan is persecuted and acts underground. Regular church services are prohibited. That is why the only possible form of meetings is home cell group services. Igor was in charge for a small city where he led several groups and was able to start three new groups and train several leaders.

During that time he was also taking care for a group of homeless children. Igor, jointly with two other Christian teachers decided to teach them some basics in Russian, math, etc. Of course along with that they taught children the Bible which is prohibited in Uzbekistan.

Police traced him down and finally arrested him. He was put into jail with criminals where police mistreated and abused him. Couple of his front teeth were knocked out. Then they put him to the special jail for religious extremists where he spent ten more days. Finally, after intercession of several courageous Christians he was deported from the country.

Igor is very committed to Christ and to his mission. His deep desire was to return back to Uzbekistan and he did it in the years 2000 and 2001. Recently he went to his next trip to Uzbekistan.

as able to establish one underground church with two home groups. Praise God that this time he wasn't arrested and imprisoned as he was during his last mission. He is planning to spend some time with us and than return to Uzbekistan again.

"Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you" (2 Thessalonians 3:1).

May the Lord bless you richly!
